Automated workflow
Automated workflow, when I do “Request an update” it sends me an email.
When I use “Alert someone” it does not email the person listed.
Can you help?

Can you check your personal notification settings? If the Update Request is coming through but the Alert is not, it sounds like you may have Sheet Change Notifications turned off when you're the person who triggers the change:
