Help with a Function

I'm trying to have the flag check on when LATE in "Status" Column drop down is selected or if the "Estimated Completion Date" Column date prior to Today

=IF(OR(Status@row= "LATE",[Estimated Completion Date]@row<TODAY()),1,0)

Thanks so much. Another quick question, if the date is blank the flag is check. what would need to be added to the function to not check the flag if date is blank?

Would there need to be an "=IF(ISDATE"
