Return Report Source Sheets Without Rows?

It seems to be a limitation of the API that if a report has no rows currently populated in it from a given source sheet, the API does not return that source sheet in a query.

Has anyone found a way around this or come up with another solution? It's great to be able to pull source sheets when there are rows coming into a report but our mapping is significantly hindered by the inability to see all source sheets regardless of whether or not rows are currently coming in.

you should be able to get that by adding to the request the query include=scope
