Hi everyone
Hi from Glasgow in the UK.
I run the PMO Practice and Operations group in the Product & Technology division of a global organization in the HCM space. Before June 2021, program and project management was supported by a kaleidoscope of tools - Excel, MS Teams Planner, SharePoint, PowerPoint reporting, etc. We adopted Smartsheet 12 months ago and haven't looked back since.
The workflow of our Program Management group is built on it now: project and program intake, pipeline assessment and prioritization, delivery and execution, lessons learnt. Our PMO Practice is the same, with its own intake and backlog; competencies and skills tooling; team pulse checking; and more.
As a recovering perfectionist and problem solver, I love learning and helping.
My (somewhat tenuous) claim to fame - serving lunch to, followed by being invited to sit with, John De Lancie in the mid-90s, in my previous life as a restaurant manager, when he was in town making a guest appearance at a nearby Star Trek convention.
I'm not particularly photogenic so here is a picture of Flinders Street Station in Melbourne, Australia that I took in July 2019; the last time I travelled on business.

How wonderful that you got to meet and sit with John De Lancie - I'm certain that was the last thing. you were expecting when you woke up to go to work that morning. Life is full of so many wonderful, unexpected surprises.
Glad to have you as a member of our community! So happy we were able to feature you in our past members spotlight.
