Building a Calendar in Smartsheet

You would enter all of your dates into a date type column and then switch over to Calendar View.

I need to build a calendar in Smartsheet, the purpose being listing testing blackout dates, go live dates, department testing timeframes as examples. i need to create one for each month so that several departments can easily determine who should be testing on which day in a month, and which days no testing can occur.

please let me know if this is possible
