How do you do a =countifs(range1,criterion1[range2, criterion2] but in criterion 2 is symbol?

Try something like this. (Green is a Symbol RYGB Column)

=COUNTIFS([Column 1]@row, 1, RYGB@row, "Green")

Thank you. I did see this in the community, however, I have a tick box in the cells, not a colour. I have tried putting in tick, true, and marked. Any other suggestions?
