Formula that triggers flag if any cell@row changes color

I have multiple very long complex sheets with a lot of data. With conditional formatting, many cells will change color when there is an issue with a date, number, answer to a form question etc. Having the whole row change color or scanning through all columns/rows looking for issues has proven to be too cumbersome.

What would love to do is have a symbol column with either a flag or maybe colored dots indicating the level of issue there which would clue us in to search that row

The big question, is there a way to trigger a symbol if any cell@row has a color change?

No. There are no formulas which identify font colors, etc.

However, conditional formatting IS based off of conditions that formulas can be written for. So whatever criteria you've used to set up your conditional formatting can also be used to create a formula which can be assigned to a colored symbol.

Thanks for the info. I thought that may be the case but wanted to throw it out there.

The formula to check the [column name]@row would be pages long. There is just too many columns. When a need comes to add a new column with conditional formatting would add a lot of work. I will look for a work around.

I'll submit this idea for an enhancement.
