Formula to Update Status based on Percent Complete (Column Formula with Row Heirarchy)

Please see pic. I am using this formula. How do I update it to work as a column formula and also recognize parent/child row hierarchy, please?

IF([% Complete]1 = 0, "Not Started", IF([% Complete]1 = 1, "Complete", "In Progress"))

Can you post a screen capture of your sheet (blocking out sensitive data), and copy/paste the current formula you're using?

You can make formulas Column Formulas if you take out a specific row reference (e.g. [Column Name]1) and use @row instead, looking at the current row (e.g. [Column Name]@row)
