Pasting a CONCATENATE formula from excel with line delimiters

Morning

We process some job forms in excel where a transfer line combines the information so we can then paste the information into our Smartsheet for the work to be done and tracked.

All the information pastes in nicely except the cell with the CONCATENATE formula with the line delimiters in it. It pastes the combined 10 lines of information into 10 rows in smartsheet instead of joining them all in the one cell on the same line as the rest of the text.

We used to be able to do this but is hasn't worked for a couple of years and am upgrading some things and want to get it fixed.

I have tried CONCATENATE, and TEXTJOIN and joining the text by & in excel to see if the different formulas might be the issue. No luck.

Any help would be gratefully received.

    Hi @Tracey Tume

I hope you're well and safe!

Try to double-click the cell before you paste.

    Morning

Thank you for your answer. The issue is we paste approximately 50 columns into the row at once.

We used to be able to paste it and have the multi-lined cell paste into one cell but it doesn't any longer. We now paste 49 of the columns and past the multi-lined cell separately. I thought it might have had something to do with the excel formula/set up in the cell but perhaps its a Smartsheet issue.

    Thanks for trying.

    Kind regards
