Report filter

So, I was wondering in report view if there is a way to filter using wildcards or formulas?

I wanted to run a filter with names "starting with" a particular letter. I don't want to do it at the sheet level because another individual is working with me to make updates on the same sheet. I know that I could use the LEFT function at the sheet level and then run reports for each letter but was wondering if there was an easier way.

I asked her to work with names A-L while I work on M-Z. I wish there was an option like Excel's "begins with".

Just wondering.

Unfortunately you would need a helper column on the sheet to grab the first letter.

Thanks! I forgot to come back to let you know I just used the LEFT function as my helper column and used it to run a report for what I needed it for. Again, thank you so much for your assistance!
