Multiple countifs with multiple criteria in one column

Hi I am trying to pull a count if the value in one column is a 1 or 2, but when I use the below, I get 0.

=COUNTIFS(Month:Month, "July-22", Portfolio:Portfolio, "Business Network", [Number of meetings a month]:[Number of meetings a month], OR(CONTAINS("1", @cell), CONTAINS("2", @cell)))

This formula should do what you need:

=COUNTIFS(Month:Month, "July-22", Portfolio:Portfolio, "Business Network", [Number of meetings a month]:[Number of meetings a month], OR((@cell) = 1, (@cell) = 2))

Would there be a way to use this formula but to also add the 1 and 2s together?
