Barcodes and checkboxes!

I need a simple sheet for product shipping. I want to be able scan a barcode on our cabinets and that will check the checkbox in the column next to it. We have to search in stacks of papers to check off a cabinet as it is loaded. We want to make this process much easier without paper on the loading dock. I don't know if this is possible. I hope this makes sense. Does anyone have any incite on this?

You will need two smartsheets

1 that would be used to capture the barcodes as they are scanned and store them.

2 Would have a list of all the barcodes (inventory i would guess?) and read the 1st sheet, as barcodes are scanned and match the barcodes on this sheet a simple formula would be able to tick the checkboxes automatically.

Hope that gives you some idea on how to progress.
