Gmail Extension and Row Attachments

When I use the gmail Smartsheet extension tool to send an email to a row on a Smartsheet with attachments, the attachments do not show up on approvals that are then generated. Attachments are only being included on approvals if they are directly uploaded to a row. The only way to see an attachment that made it to a row via the gmail extension is to select "A Comment" in the approval workflow setup when customizing the message that is included in the approval. Then, once you click on the approval, you have to expand the comments to see the attachment at the end of the comments which is essentially the original text in the email that was sent to that row via the gmail extension app. What I really need is the attachment to show up on the approval without having to comb through the comments. Anyone have a fix for this?

It would work if you used an Update Request instead for the Approval.
