Using Excel - it is possible to place an "=" sign in a cell and then go to another sheet and click on another cell and hit enter and it "links" the 2 cells together so that if the number in one cell is changed - it changes it on the other sheet too.

Question: is it possible to do this with Smartsheets?

Yes! Instead of writing it as a formula in the cell, just right-click on the cell and choose "Link from cell in other sheet..."

No, you'd use cross-sheet formulas instead and select the range in another sheet.

Another option could be to use cell linking.
