Why is my WORKDAY function reporting an incorrect date?

I have noticed in several instances over the past few weeks where my WORKDAY formula returns an invalid date. For instance if I have a date of 8/23/22 in column 6 row 122 I would expect a formula in column 7 row 122 of =WORKDAY([6]122, 15) to return a date of 9/13/22, yet it is returning a date of 9/5/22. Any thoughts as to what is going on here?

    Hi @Brian N.

    If you don't select the column properties as date, it will return an invalid date.

    Did you include any holidays in the formula? Try the following formula. It works.

  • Thank you for responding @Khasim . The strange thing about this issue is that it was fine when I setup the schedule originally, but when I went to change the number of work days in the formula that is when the formula would not compute the right number of days. I do not have any holidays specified. So at one point it was correctly indicating a date of 9/13/22. This seems to be a sporadic issue.

    Hi @Brian N. I tested it with various dates and it works perfectly. Yes, I agree that it is a sporadic problem.
