Multi Select DropDown list from data on another sheet

I am wanting a multiple select drop down list that gets its data from another list.

Basically I have a list of our equipment along with the current cost in another column. in Column 3 I have combined text of equipment name + price . I want this to be my drop down list in another sheet that will be the equipment order request form. The user can select which items they need ordered and see the current cost/price from column 3 in the cost sheet.

Unfortunately, SS does not support dynamic lists/dropdowns currently so you are out of luck on this one. Feature request has been submitted in the product feedback forum by few users.

If I understand your question correctly, it should be possible with the Premium App, Data Shuttle.

@Sameer Karkhanis do understand this correctly? I have a running list of employees in my Staff Sheet; [last][first][full name][contact][department].... I want to use this information in another sheet Dispatch log [patroller].

The Dispatch Log is tracking numerous events that I send patrollers to , I want to pull [full name] from Staff Sheet, into Dispatch Log such that when I start typing Joe B... Joe Baur, Joe Basset, Joe Burrow is displayed until I either pick or my only option is Joe Burrow.

The Staff Sheet will be continually updated so I would rather not have to update the Drop List Option.

I can do this in excel relatively easily

Please submit this as a Product Feedback or Idea (If it hasn't been added already) when you have a moment.

Here's a possible workaround or workarounds

• Premium App, Data Shuttle
• Smartsheet API
• 3rd-party solution

I've been asked to look at Smartsheet for the Mt Hotham Ski Patrol in Australia (replacing MS Access). How far along are you with Smartsheet and dispatching Patrollers and equipment? We want to integrate access by the Medical Centre staff to update Casualty records as well.
