Count and Sum Formulas - Auto Populate

Hi! I am currently working on a smartsheet that has several columns and under each column, are different employee names. Under each employee names, are job numbers, volume, region number, etc.

I want to use the COUNT formula for one column so that it autopopulates every time a new row is added. However, I don't want to include the entire column in the formula (only cells under the certain employee).

Can someone help me with the formula for this?

I am also trying to do the same thing with another column except I'm wanting to use the SUM formula.

Try removing the range. Just use

COUNT(CHILDREN())

You would need to incorporate the CHILDREN function.

=COUNT(CHILDREN())

=SUM(CHILDREN())

When I do this, it's giving me zero.

Those would go in the parent row (blue bar).
