Allocations
Scenario 1
I have a task that happens every Tuesday but only takes 1hr of my time.
I don’t want to create multiple rows to indicate this as one 1hr of the day, is there another way to do this?
Scenario 2
I have task that happens with a span of 5 days but only takes 3 hrs how do i calculate that?
Is there a way to do this?

Hi Judi—
It sounds like you're looking for a automated, repeating tasks and a form of effort allocation, neither of which Smartsheet can do at the moment.
You will need to split your task up amongst multiple rows: setting up your one hour task manually every Tuesday, and setting up your 3 hour task in chunks over 5 days.
If you're using dependencies, you can make these tasks dependent on one another and use lag days to separate them: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/765727-enabling-dependencies-using-predecessors#lagtime
You can also use hierarchy to organize your phases of a task under a parent: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/504734-hierarchy-indenting-outdenting-rows
