Need to find the amount of time that a row stays in a certain stage
So, I have a Legal Contract sheet that tracks all of our legal contracts that our in-house counsel are working on. We have a stage or status field that we use to show the stage of the contract. They would like to track the time that a contract sits in a specific stage. So If on day 1 it starts in the first stage, and then 5 days later it is changed to the next stage, we get a calculation of the time that has elapsed. And then, when it changes to the next, it counts the days again. I hope I'm explaining this clearly enough.

I hope you're well and safe!
You could use Workflows combined with the Record a date feature to record the date for the different stages and then measure the difference.
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic week!

Excellent!
Happy to help!
I've structured it similarly in a few client solutions, which works great.

Hi - So I was able to get the automation working perfectly. Thanks again. So, I created date fields for each of the status changes I want to capture the time between, and then did a Sheet Summary using NETWORKDAYS between the dates. I think that is the best way to approach this. Appreciate any thoughts you might have. Thanks again!
