Display date when workflow was approved

Hi,
I have an approved or decline workflow, and I would like to display the date it was approved, this date must be displayed when I generate a document. How do I go about doing that?

Hi @Desire
I hope you're well and safe!
You could use a Workflow combined with the Record a Date Action to register the date when it was Approved.
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic weekend!

Hi Andrée,
Thanks for your assistance.
I don't think that will work.
The process is as follows, a requisition is submitted, then it has to go through several approvers - if person 1 approves, then it moves to person 2, and so on. When it reaches the final approver, we will use the document generator (making use of the automatic document generator in SS) to submit the approved requisition for actioning.
I hope this makes sense.
Thanks

Happy to help!
Why don't you think it would work? It seems to me that it would.

Maybe I don't know enough about it, but when I try to insert the Record a Date Action then it removes the rest of the automated workflow that I've built, it seems like it only records the date of the last action.
I would like to record a date after every approved status.

Yes, Record a Date has to be the last step in a Workflow, but you could add another Workflow or Workflows as needed for the Record a Date feature.
Make sense?

So are you saying that I will need to create and save individual workflows for each approval, instead of having just one?
At the moment I have one called "In Budget Approval" workflow that starts at the beginning, the requestor and it works through the entire approval process right to the end where they accept and confirmation is sent.
And from what I understand is that I must create a workflow per approval, so at the end of the day I will have 8 separate workflows per approver?

You could probably have one Workflow with different Conditional Paths instead so that it would register the date for the different Statuses.
Make sense?

Thanks, but I can't seem to get it right, the moment I select Record Date, it removes everything after that.
-
You're more than welcome!
Start with a new Workflow, and the last step should always be the Record a Date Action. You can then add another Workflow or test if it can work with the Conditional Path feature.
More info.
