How to send automated email notifications only once

Hello,

I'm trying to have an automated email notification send only once, once a criteria has been met.

Currently, I have the automation emailing a notification to a contact once a certain field = 1.

It works, however ideally this automation would only send ONCE, as soon as this cell becomes "1". But it keeps sending multiple times.

Any ideas?

Happy to help!

No. A helper column, in this case, would be a column you add (checkbox), and then you'd add the last step to the Workflow that checks the box the first time it's run and add a condition to the Workflow that it should only trigger if the checkbox in the helper column is unchecked.

I found some articles on Helper Columns, but I'm still unsure of what you mean.

Do you mean setting up a checkbox like this, because checkbox notifications will only send once?

Ah okay @Andrée Starå , I almost follow.

I think this is closer, but the last section in the workflow "Change Cell Value" does not allow me to select the new Helper column to "check" it once this is complete? Do these need to be two separate automated workflows?
