Auto populate a cell with data from the cell above

OK, so I have been up for two days straight between work and being sick (just to set the mindset here). This seems so simple and yet in my exhausted state, I cannot get this to work.

Column Name (Machine Number) Column Name (BOM Style). I have two forms to capture the data.

Form One captures Machine Number and BOM Style. Once the form is submitted, this data is populated. After submit, another form is triggered in which additional data is entered (Defects), Without the Machine Number and Bill No.

I'd like all the blank cells under Machine Number and BOM Style to simply auto populate with the data populated above it (copying the entry from the first form).

This solution is going to be embarrassingly simple. I need sleep.

You will need a third party app, the API, or something like Bridge (possibly) to get this to work. If you have a formula in a column, users will not be able to enter data through a form.
