Is there a way to remove a contact from all notifications at one time?

I have several sheets with hundreds of notifications and need to remove one contact from many notifications. Can the contact be removed from all the notifications at once? I have already transferred ownership of the sheets and deleted the contact from the account. How do I remove the contact from the notifications without going into each one individually?

    Hi @Erin Burley

This will depend on how the action block is set up:

    • If the action block was sending to everyone shared to the sheet, then when the sheet sharing is removed the user will no longer be a part of that workflow automatically.
    • If the action block was sending to Contacts in a Cell, then if you remove the contact from that column and use find-and-replace to remove them from the cells (sheet by sheet) then they'll be removed from the workflow.
    • If the workflow is sending to a Specific Person and you set it up to send to that email address, then yes, you will need to go into each workflow individually and manually remove them from the action block.

Your account settings will play into this as well. If your System Admin has prevented workflows from sending to anyone outside of your company's account (e.g. Limited permissions on workflows), then this user will automatically no longer receive alerts from workflows once they were removed from the account.
