Sheet Name renaming options

I am trying to add a shorten sheet name in a report. I have read it is not possible to add Vlookup to a report so am hoping for a workaround. Can I add the sheet name column to each sheet used in the report and then add the vlook-up column to the sheet and then add that column to the report? Is there another way to do this?

Sheet Name - 01_MS 23/24 Subject Development Schedule want it to say MS Math Sch.

What exactly are you wanting to do with this shortened sheet name?

@Paul Newcome I am using it in report of 5 sheets and the names are too long and we want a short name to show instead of the long sheet name so users know which sheet is referenced

You would have to rename the sheet itself then.
