If "Status" Changes Email "Form Submitted by"

Good afternoon,

I am reaching out to ask how to set a rule for when a column changes, to send an email to the person who submitted the form.

I have a form that populates a sheet. I would like to set the rule "If status changes, notify person who submitted form." Is this possible and what would that rule look like? Thank you!

    @deannadigreg,

    This is definitely possible. I know of 2 options off-hand.

    Option 1:

    Add a Created By (system) column.

    Force users to be logged into Smartsheet in order to submit the form. This will populate the Created By with the user name. This setting can be found when editing the form, and clicking "Settings".

    Then you can use the value in that cell to email to via your automation.

    Option 2:

    Add a Submitted By column.

    Have users enter their email into the form into the Submitted By column.

    Then you can use the value in that cell to email to via your automation.

    Hope this helps!
