Creating a Dashboard using Formulas

Hello,

I'm currently working on a dashboard (first time doing this, too) and one of my reports need to read how many documents were either approved or resubmitted per month. I know I need to create a new sheet in order to create the Chart. I do already have a sheet that states how many were approved for each month but not for one that was declined bc I have none, but I still wanted to create a chart that states both, for every month. Can someone please assist me? Thanks in advance!!

Reports can also be used as the data source for charts. It's more difficult to suggest an approach without seeing your data structure and column names but I will assume you have a standard grid format. Create a report and make sure the column(s) that show approved/declined are included in the report. If it is a single column containing both answers you will want to 'group' on that column and summarize it with Count. If the accepts are in one column and Declines in another, you will want to summarize on both using Count

Using a report is a robust way of keeping the data evergreen from now on without having to keep updating future dates.
