PMO Template

Dear All, I like to understand how I can re-create the header row that I find in the Project Intake Sheet in the PMO Template. Can someone please advise? If I set up teh column with a function (e.g. Auto number) it is impossible to enter the word "Project ID" in teh first line as shown in teh image below. How does that work?

Thank you.

  • Hi Sylvia,

The Project Intake Sheet is linked with the Project Metadata sheet, this is where the header is in row one. You can change the descriptions etc., in the Project Metadata Sheet.

    I hope this helps.

Thank you for responding, Per! But now I have more questions :-)

If the content in the cells of that first row is managed in the Project Metadata, I would expect to find a cell reference in the Project Intake Sheet (so that the same is reflected there) - but I don't see that. Similarly, after I changed the content in the 1st Row of the Project Meta Data Sheet, I did not find it reflected in the Project Intake Sheet. So it must be managed in both places. More to explore....

  • Hi @Sylvia Kay

You can add text to an auto-number column before you set the column type. For example:

    • Create a new sheet
    • In a regular Text/Number column, add information to the top cell
    • Adjust that column type to be an Auto Number column

Then all new rows entered into that sheet will have a number applied, but the first row will contain the text you typed in before changing the column. Does that make sense?

    Cheers,

    Genevieve

Thank you Genevieve, this is what I did as a workaround.
