Autofill formulas from adding a new Card

I find the value of Smartsheets to be the card view. I almost exclusively work in card view, and routinely add new items by adding new cards. There are several fields that contain formulas. Until today, adding a new card seemed to add the row appropriately at the bottom of the sheet, inheriting formulas. However, i'm finding it doesn't always do that. One card I added was inserted something like 10 rows below the lowest row in the sheet, and therefore does not inherit the formulas. How do I force it to add a new card to the next available row, therefore including all forumlas?

This is usually caused by something telling the Sheet that the 10 blank lines are 'active' (I don't think that is the right word, but the correct one escapes me at the moment).

Check to see if any of the blank rows have a Creation date (added the System column if you don't already have one).

If they do not, contact support@smartsheet.com and be ready to share your sheet with them. I usually provide the editable Publish link to save time.

There is something going on (a bug), but I have not been able to find the pattern by my own testing.
