Multiple Countif

Hi all,

I am trying to count how many specific instances are happening within a year, for a particular dept, AND specific status. Below is what i have so far:

=COUNTIFS($Year$1:$Year$39, "2020", $Area$1:$Area$39, "Dept", ([Sub-Status]1:[Sub-Status]59, "Past Due")

Removing the ( prior to [Sub-Status]1:[Sub-Status]59 should help.

Also watch out your ranges because the first 2 goes from 1 to 39 and the last one goes from 1 to 59. This probably won't be good for Smartsheet. Make them the same :)

You can set this formula up horizontally on your sheet and foot it to sum up the instances: =IF(AND(Year@row = "2020", Area@row = "Dept", [Sub-Status]@row = "Past Due"), 1, "")
