Dynamic View - Filter and CSV Export

I have a dynamic view with both shared filters and ad hoc filters. When I apply either type of filter and then export the view to CSV, ALL of the rows are returned. The filter is ignored. Is it supposed to work that way or is it a bug? Either way, it greatly diminishes the value of the filter feature.

I just checked how this works in a regular sheet. When you apply a filter then export to Excel, the Excel hides the filtered records, but they are included. However, Dynamic View can only export to CSV, which has no ability to hide rows. Having the choice to exclude filtered records from both regular sheets and dynamic view would be highly valuable.
