Freezing Top Row in Smartsheet

Any idea if/when Smartsheet will roll out the ability to freeze the top row in sheets?

Currently you can freeze select columns or use the Sheet Summary part of a sheet to keep information accessible from any location. It looks like people have been asking for this basic row freezing functionality since at least early 2016. Productivity gained with some good Smartsheet functionality continues to be offset by productivity lost with missing functionality that is basic with other spreadsheets. Hopefully, Smartsheet will figure this out before others do.

Still waiting for this functionality.

It doesn't seem at all productive to scroll all the way up, to see what was the title of the column you are looking at, especially when you have hundreds of rows/tasks

It makes zero sense one can freeze columns but not rows. It's literally useless IMO. I'd prefer using Google or MS and creeate a sharepoint site for customer collaboration

If I was feeling generous I would suggest that the reason we cannot freeze rows yet is that you're supposed to use the Column Names as the row headers you would be freezing.

Unfortunately, I am not feeling generous. This reason does not cut it for the simple reason that one would conceivably want to freeze more than one row at a time. This is obvious and pretty much exactly what I am [and the others above seem to be] looking for here. The fact that this has not been implemented [especially when it does exist for columns] is an egregious oversight without excuse. The fact it has been this way for seemingly 5 YEARS is galling beyond measure and should be considered a mark of shame.

The lack of transparency on the status and progress of requested features is a recurring issue on this site that NEEDS to be addressed sooner rather than later. Get it together Smartsheets.

Can you please provide an update on when this functionality will be built out? We need to be able to freeze rows in addition to columns. Excel is your competition. Why would we not just use Microsoft cloud based, live sheets for tracking then?
