Not allow checkbox to be 'yes' if another cell is blank?

Hello - We have one process which allows people to assign themselves to requests. Can I stop users from clicking the Complete checkbox if they forgot or neglected to select an assignee on that request row?

I have setup conditional formatting to highlight the occurrences, but can not figure out a formula or other workaround to stop it from happening.

Appreciate your time!

Yes no way to restrict users to do things like that

Was thinking a bit of an underhanded way is to have a workflow that says if the checkbox is checked and the assignee is blank then clear the checkbox and send someone a notification

You can make the message pretty verbose like Ticket # 123 has been closed without an assignee and the system has reopened the ticket as a result.

Hello JB - I am not aware of way to restrict users from the entry, unless you want to lock the column and turn it into a formula, so that the box checks itself after certain criteria are met. If that's not possible, another idea is to set up an automation that sends an email if the box is checked prematurely.

    Hoping this helps,

    Scott
