Taxonomy Validation

Hello! I want to start off by saying I am a novice with Smartsheet but am hoping you all can help me. I have a sheet that will contain a taxonomy value. I want to build some formulas in Smartsheet that I have built previously in Excel and I can't seem to figure it out. There are two things i am looking to validate, 1 that all data keys are in the taxonomy and 2 that only the data values in the dictionary were used for the taxonomy. Do you think something like this is possible in Smartsheet?

    Hi @KHaggerty

I hope you're well and safe!

    Can you elaborate?

Can you maybe share some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help.

Be safe and have a fantastic week!

  • Hi Andree! Thank you for your response. The idea is that the taxonomy is pasted in from a user and then we validate two things, 1. that all data keys (two letter code with tilde - FF~) are present in the taxonomy, and 2. that the data value associated with data keys are in a pre defined dictionary.
