We have set up a basic inventory management sheet within smartsheet to better track our inventory. So far it's pretty basic, but hoping to expand. One issue I haven't found a solution for is automating the counts when we add or remove inventory from stock. I have a "Quantity on Hand" (QOH) column that we are currently manually updating.
Ideally, I would like to create some type of automation that calculates the current QOH based on entries to a "Quantity Added" and "Quantity Removed" Column... without having a column for each time inventory is added or removed. Or without having to create a new row each time.
Ultimately we may have to move to an actual inventory management program, but would like to explore ss as an opportunity given the simplicity of what we're trying to accomplish. Any thoughts on this topic would be greatly appreciated!

Hey @Andrée Starå - appreciate the quick response. These are great tools for sure, but looks like they present the same barrier I'm contending with - you still have to manually update the quantities rather than having it add and subtract inventory levels to keep a running total. Thinking we're trying to do more than ss was designed. To get it to do what I'm wanting, I think we would end up with a very messy and cumbersome solution.
@BradT@comanche did you find a solution? We are working on the same problem and nothing is working yet. We want to receive orders in the field where sometimes the qty rec'd doesn't match ordered because it is arriving on another day. So we want to find a formula to capture that activity.

@Jessica Reynolds @Jeff_Berman - we ultimately ended up moving to an inventory management solution. I'm sure with enough effort and smarts, you could create a workable solution within smartsheet, but we needed a robust inventory management system. So after six months of implementation, we go live today.
We were not successful after several attempts with customizations and overall turned to an ERP that integrates with Smartsheet.
