Max File Limit and Export data/files

Good Afternoon...

Is there a maximum limit on the number of files that can be attached to a sheet and is there a maximum number of rows in a sheet?

Also, if we max out on the number of files/rows in a sheet, is there a way to offboard/download the files, attachments, discussions from Smartsheet into another program?

Smartsheet Standard Sheet maximums:

Rows: 20,000
Columns: 400
Cells: 500,000
Characters in a cell: 4,000

There are export functions that are available within the sheets for free are export to: excel, pdf, etc.

If you are wanting to export into something greater (ERP, CRM, etc) you may want to explore Data Shuttle: https://www.smartsheet.com/marketplace/premium-apps/data-shuttle

As far as attachments go, those are dependant on file storage capacity within smartsheet, you would want to explore Data Table, which allows up to millions of rows of data, which can by sync'd into sheets.

Thank you for the information. If we were to use the backup feature and include the attachments, is there a way to offboard into another program? I tried to export a sheet with attachments in an Excel and PDF format but it did not export any of the attachments.

If we move away from tracking the information in a Smartsheet, we want the ability to move all the info, attachments, comments, etc. to another file format. There will be a number of attachments for each line and the concern is maxing out the allowable Smartsheet space. Thank you!

Just to clarify, a file size maximum is 250 MB, but a Smartsheet sheet can hold 1TB of info? We have run into issues with maxing out attachment capacity.

If you have Enterprise, it's unlimited.

Ok.

The tricky part when you backup/export is that there's now a simple way to know which rows the attachments we're tied to, but other than that, you should be good.
