You can do this in conversations! When you use the call out "@" and the user is shared with the sheet, they will get an email. When they respond to the email it will come back over to Smartsheet.

You can also do an "Update Request" This is tracked and allows you to pick what information is sent. In this case, you do not need to be shared for this to work. Here is some information on the "Update Request"
