Manage References - "You cannot create links at this time."

"You cannot create links at this time."
Why not?
This is happening on an existing sheet that already has 3 links established, which are working as intended. I have refreshed, opened a new tab, closed all other tabs. And nothing was allowing me, the sheet owner, to create new references.
Then I tried again and it allowed me to create one. 😍
Then I tried again and received the message again. 🤬
What is this nonsense?! Why is smartsheet gaslighting me? 😵

@Marvin Daniels I just had this happen to me as well. Did you find a resolution/reason?

Negative @johngraham78. It reared its ugly head, but then quietly went away and I haven't experienced it again since that day in 2022. My suggestion, had I replied timely, would be to take the rest of the day off, it'll work fine tomorrow. 😁

I'm feeling the gaslight that @johngraham78 expressed. This is wicked annoying. I just started a connection a second ago and now it won't work.
Do you @Marvin Daniels think this is something on the Smartsheet server/cloud end? Like some kind of zombie'd temp file on their server that updates over time?

@estahlnecker this issue eventually went away (not sure how long it took since this was several months ago). Hopefully it does for you too, but it appears something entirely on the smartsheet end of things.
