We need an option to always display the horizontal scroll bar. When working on a smaller screen, the scroll bar disappears. You have to scroll up and back down just to get it to appear. This makes working on larger sheets, which is always the case, very frustrating. This is reproduced using Chrome on Windows 11.
I have noticed that the horizontal scroll bars are not always available when a sheet/dashboard/report extends beyond the viewable are on the screen. Having a horizontal scroll bar would be useful in such cases.
I really do not understand why this wasn't added up front! LOL!
Please reinstate the horizontal scroll bar on default view of Smartsheets.
It now only appears if you scroll down on the page or make the page full screen.
This is a really annoying feature. Please fix!
I have the same problem. I frequently have to make the Chrome window small (vertically), but when I do the horizontal scroll bar disappears. For my particular SS I have to have at least 19 lines showing to get a the horiz. scroll bar to appear. I don't know if this a Chrome issue or a SS issue.
If we could have this it would save a lot of frustration working on forumals, referencing from another sheet. The scroll bar is tiny and if you don't scroll around to display the bar, and get back to the scroll bar quickly, it disappears again.
I wanted to share a screenshot but the scroll bar doesn't stay on screen long enough 🤦♀️
I have the same issue when I'm filtering a larger sheet to show only specific lines.
I then have to either tab to the right or highlight across multiple cells for it to pop up.
I agree, I have the same issue and it is very frustrating.

@Genevieve P. Any updates on this issue? I agree with others, what a pain to have the scroll bar not accessible/visible when it's needed. The horizontal bar is often missing from the screen when I want to grab it.
Found this while looking for a way to have it show on first load of the page. It's very annoying to have to scroll down (sometimes losing the row I was interested in) to see it, and use it.
