Bring Back the Outlook Add-In - Please upvote this!
Last year, Microsoft announced it would no longer support legacy Exchange tokens because they are a security risk. This technology was used in the Outlook Add-in. Several months ago, Smartsheet contacted admins and recommended "enabling legacy Exchange tokens" to keep the add-in. My organization can't do that because Microsoft identified this technology as a security risk. So my add-in no longer works.
I use Smartsheet to track change and update requests for a 2,000-page website, assign tasks to my team, and notify the requester when the task is complete. Despite my best efforts to get people to submit their changes using a form, a lot of those requests still come to me by way of email, or people email me with supplemental info related to the request. The Outlook Add-In made this a completely hassle-free process. I could simply use the add-in to copy the email (including attachments) to my Smartsheet, or add email conversations to existing rows. Without the add-in, this is a horrible manual process, especially when attachments are involved.
I've been working with Smartsheet on a solution, but they need to hear from the Smartsheet Community. If you want Smartsheet to create the Outlook add-in using more secure technology, please upvote this idea!

I would to manage my work emails with smartsheet and I installed the outlook add-in. once I create a row from an email, it would be great to be able to link back to the email from the sheet in case i need to find the email rather that searching for it.

Need to make future enhancements to get the Outlook Add-in application to work again. The connection to allow emails to be tagged and flagged between the two platforms was a powerful tool that made makes life for detailed task tracking and assignment much easier and extremely user friendly through the Smartsheet App interface. I will be deeply distraught if this feature isn’t brought back as it made my life much easier.

I 100% agree. I used that to post things to Smartsheet all day long and now with New Outlook, I cannot. Smartsheet, please enhance this tiny, but might tool to work with Microsoft's update to New Outlook!

I agree. This was a VERY helpful tool to update projects with emails from external organizations. Now we have to cut and paste emails into the comments.
