Show tasks that are happening today in a report

Hey! So, I'm on a construction company, and I need to make a report that shows the tasks happening today

But I don't know how to show tasks that are not starting or finishing today, but are still in the process of completion.

With these filters, if a task started yesterday and is finishing tomorrow, it will not show on this Report

Thank you for the help!

(The Task column just makes sure it is a task and not a parent row)

Hope you are fine, please try the following set of filters.

Add a new Text / Number column named Tasks Today

Enter this formula - =IF(AND(Start@row <= TODAY(), Finish@row >= TODAY()), 1, 0)

Convert the Column to Formula

Change the Column to type Checkbox

You can create variations on the formula to filter by Today , This Weeks Tasks, Next Weeks Tasks

Hi, I am trying to implement this formula to return true / false if a task is underway over the course of the next week. Like OP, I want to show tasks that are not necessarily starting or finishing next week, but are in the process of completion (e.g. midway through a 6 week duration).

Can you help me adjust the formula to return those results? An explanation of the mechanics of the formula would also be super helpful as I am not quite understand the results I'm getting.

The way I'm reading this formula: "Star the row if the following statement is true: Start Date is less than or equal to today AND end date is greater than or equal to tomorrow (today +1)"

How would I adjust the formula to star rows that are occurring and/or underway at any point over the course of the next 5 days?

You could skip the extra column and set your report filters like so:
