Is it possible to add the ability to change the parent row color settings, especially as relates to task bar color in gantt view?

The issue I'm having is that I'm creating a milestone dashboard with gantt view, but need to be able to change the colors of the gantt chart, which can only be done in the grid sheet. Smartsheets does not allow for changing the gantt colors of lines that are considered headers, subheaders, etc. Only task lines. So now I'm copying rows to another sheet, linking them to the main project plan so they'll automatically update, changing the gantt colors, so I can then create a report showing the actual information I need in order to put in my dashboard. There's got to be an easier way.
I think this is an idea that is long overdue as a feature. I've introduced a lot of companies I worked for to Smartsheet as an alternative to other PM products as I find it easier and more flexible.
It at times can be difficult to discern progress at a high level. Especially so when I share an image export of the gantt chart such as the one attached. From an accessibility point of view there are always a few stakeholders at any company I work at that has a little trouble following a long. I myself as the PM sometimes get lost looking at the Gantt Chart so I almost never pay attention to it as I tune my project schedules. A waste of a powerful feature imo.
It would be very helpful to be able to format the gray bar in gaunt charts for parent rows when dependencies are enabled. Even having a few formatting options available to help these to stand out from other rows.
This feature would be very helpful! clicked on "Vote" button on the top.
I didn't even realize I couldn't do this until I needed it. Very surprised it's not possible. This seems like a simple upgrade with no downside and lots of benefits… and it looks like its already being implemented in the new timeline view. Please bring this to Gantt and Calendar views as well.
agree this would be very helpful, instead of some of the recent changes smartsheet has made on the graphs that do not work.
Voted and commenting for visibility! This would be super useful to have!!
The parent row color cannot be modified in the Gantt chart.
it would be able to change the color.
Currently, you are only able to edit the Gantt bar color settings if they are not associated with with a parent task. It would be helpful to be able to edit these color settings regardless of their parent/child status when it comes to color coding the Gantt elements. For context, I am using a SmartsheetGov account.
Most customer's metadata houses their profile data, some from intake sheet and some either cell linked in or brought into metadata using formulas. Needs change after design and often the new data point needed comes from non-metadata templates, which can cause a blocker if methods used are those above. If it were possible…
Our sheets & workspaces require many people to have Admin level capabilities, which means that when someone requests access to a sheet or workspace, that email is sent to every Admin. This causes confusion and higher risk of no access granted (because people have learned to ignore the emails) or the wrong level of access…
Today you can create a form and add logic. If that logic requires that requests need to be made for X days in the future you can add logic to help. For instance is the date requirement is not met you can hide fields so that information cannot be submitted completely. You can display a banner if date requirements are not…
