Please create automation to delete Rows. Using the move rows automation, we are able to move records to an archive sheet. The problem then becomes we have to manually delete records from the archive sheet.

I would love to see a delete automation option AND the ability to trigger it from Zapier. UPVOTE!
Would save having to do the workaround!
It would be extraordinarily helpful to have an automation that deletes data after set criteria has been met. For example, a year after the data was last modified. Currently I have to go in to my closed orders sheet and manually delete everything that is older than a year, this creates extra work that could easily be solved with an automation.
@Galadriel975 As a workaround you could set an automation to move rows off your sheet onto another after a year
Another vote for auto deletion of rows please. Surprised to find this is not an option.
I can't believe that it's 2025 and we're still asking for this feature!
Usually leave these types of things to the masses… however, as a designer of outside solutions, having an additional sheet to move rows to and then having to delete the rows on a semi-regular basis is confusing and cumbersome for my clients. They pay me to simplify and automate not create a different headache. This does not seem like a good use an API either… again, just added complexity.
I'm all for job security, however, I'd rather be based on productive work.
Add my vote for a delete row feature in automations. 😎
What is the latest on adding this feature? It looks like this request has been in since 2022.
Recommend Automation - moving the rows to an archive sheet, then put in place a data shuttle on the Archive sheet that loads the archive daily with a blank file. It essentially empties the archive.
Hi Guys Is there any possibility to add following features in future. - Delete a row after conditions are met - Delete attachments after conditions are met
Bring the delete functionality in automation, this can be helpful if we want to delete a specific row based on certain conditions.
this can also have a timeline based delete option that can be set in the sheet level setting
I think most would "move row" so that would achieve a similar result and you can keep an archive. I usually archive whatever is more than a year old from my intake sheets this way.
I am currently moving the rows from one sheet to another but it would be better if Delete funcitionality comes in as we don't want to keep any data if it actually is not required.
Hi @Rahulb2401 Currently there is no Delete functionality available. But you can try clear cell automation by selecting all columns
I understand. There is this option in their premium app Bridge and the API, so it's possible, but if enough people vote for this they could consider bringing it in the regular sheet automation.
Upvoted and adding my support here as well. I'm sure there are a zillion feature requests out there, but this one seems like low hanging fruit to me. From a business standpoint, there will always be needs for cleaning out old data over time. And I would think that from Smartsheet's perspective, this would be beneficial for them as well, as it could potentially cut down on storage requirements if people are routinely clearing out old/unneeded data.
Hope this feature makes it into an upcoming release! 🤞
We need the ability to duplicate (copy) an existing dynamic view to other sheets. We use templates and Smartsheet Control center, but when creating a new sheet (using SCC or Save As New) the dynamic view(s) are not also copied/duplicated. This creates a LOT of manual re-work. It'd be great if, from the Dynamic View…
Good afternoon, Recently there was a change that made searching a dropdown by typing inside of it switch from an exact match method where typing S would only show entries that begin with S to a search within method where typing S would show all results with the letter S in them. I can see how this would be beneficial in…
Please add the highlight changes feature to the new Tables view!
