Privacy Shield

Hi,

 

Can someone from Smartsheet please explain why you still havent signed up to the new Privacy Shield framework and why you still tout Safe Harbor on the privacy page when it is no longer valid?

    Great question! Smartsheet takes the privacy of our customers' data very seriously. While the European Court of Justice issued a judgement vacating EU Safe Harbor in October of 2015, and as of August 1, 2016 the US Department of Commerce has stopped accepting new self-certifications, the Department still maintains the US-EU Safe Harbor List of participants of which Smartsheet is still a part. We are in the process of self-certification with EU Privacy Shield but the process has not yet completed. We will update Smartsheet.com/Privacy as soon as our self-certification with Privacy Shield is formally approved.

    Hi, 5 months has passed since your post above.  Has the self certification been completed yet?  If not why not?
