Forms: Contact List Default Setting Current User

When adding a contact list field to a form. I have noticed the need for an option of current user as a default setting. Some forms are repetitive and require an email often times that of the user filling out the form. This would greatly enhance the form experience and optimize user time.

If the user filling out the Form has a Smartsheet account, you can automatically capture this information by doing two things:

Add a System Created By column to your sheet (not included in the Form)
Update the Form settings to require the Form user to Sign In before accessing the form

This way each row will be associated with the email address of the person who filled in the Form!

Hi,

It would still be better to have the option to have the current user show up as default, but allow it to be overridden (in case the form is submitted by an assistant or something). Using the created by column doesn't allow this.

Hi,

We do have both Created By and Require User to sign in working.

What we need is a Contact - not just the email address - to show projects by who requested them.
