It'd be nice to have a text field available for each workflow. That would help describe what a workflow does. Also, an PDF-export option (print all or print selected workflows) would help document the descriptions in an SOP manual or reference handbook.
It would be good to be able to explain what a workflow is for / does in the workflow itself.
It's easy to see what simple workflows do but they can get complicated pretty quickly. It would be good to be able to edit this in a separate window from the Edit Workflow window. This would allow you to read the description while you are looking at the workflow itself.
At the moment I put this in a separate document outside of SmartSheet.
This opens up the possibility of generating complete documentation for the automation of a sheet but I will add that as a separate idea.
Add a notes field that would appear in the automation summary for people to put process notes for others to understand process.

As a Smartsheet Admin, I want to have the ability to add descriptions to my automations to help other Admins understand how the automation works so people will leave me alone π JK I mean so I can remember why the heck I set something up a specific way. π
