Does the functionality exist to be able to compose an email with the click of a button (activates default email app on local machine) from a cell in Smartsheet that contains an email address?
Short answer, no. The only way this could be accomplished is using the mailto: URI. Unfortunately, Smartsheet does not support this.
You're correct, Chris. This is a request I've heard before though, so I'd recommend anyone interested in this submit a Product Enhancement request using the link under Quick Links on the right side of the Community page.
