"Trouble reaching Smartsheet right now" error message on a single sheet when any action is selected.

Question

Receiving this error every time I try to save a change to a single sheet or access the Automation menu. All other sheets are working correctly.

I've tried multiple browsers, clearing my cache, restarting the computer and checking for Smartsheet outages. While I'm actively working on developing the sheet further, there are no integrations or permissions updates that have taken place.

Since I can't open Automation, I can't see if one of them are causing an issue.

Hi @LJD, it's been a while, (knock on wood) since my teammate and I received this error message. We usually saw the error while saving a sheet. We spent a lot of time researching the error and contacting SS support for assistance. We concluded the "we're having trouble reaching Smartsheet…" error was caused by our sheets being very large, because we had numerous automation/formulas running in the or because numerous users were simultaneously editing and then saving the sheet.

Like you mentioned the issue "resolves itself" which made it difficult and frustrating to troubleshoot.

SO….I went to test my intake form and found it created a new line item - and that I could edit that line item. It appears the corruption was tied to a single row in the sheet! I deleted that row and am now able to access automations and edit other rows in the sheet. (????) Don't know what this means, but issue is resolved. Any insight others might offer is welcome!

I created a copy of my worksheet - 4 of the workflows are "invalid", but I'm able to access them and also to make and save changes to the worksheet. This seems to point to corruption of the existing sheet, but I'm not sure how to resolve this since I can't access the Automations for this sheet.
