Every week, I export my employees' time from QuickBooks to Excel and import that data into a new Smartsheet. I have an automation that copies those imported rows into a template sheet that formats the time data.
Within the template, I have separate automations for each employee. Each workflow uses the employee's User ID to automatically populate information such as their hourly pay rate and other standard fields. For example, if the User ID matches a specific employee, the workflow updates designated cells with that employee's pay rate and related information.
The problem is that every week, I receive an email for every employee stating that "one or more blocks in workflow is invalid." As a result, none of those workflows run automatically.
However, the strange part is that I don't have to edit or fix anything in the workflow itself. All I have to do is click the three dots next to the workflow, select Activate and Run, and it works perfectly. I never make any changes to the workflow before reactivating it.
Why are these workflows becoming invalid each week when nothing has changed? Is there a known cause for this behavior, and is there a way to permanently fix it so the automations remain active and run automatically every week without requiring me to reactivate them?
