We would like the ability for System Administrators to configure "Require Smartsheet login to access this form" as the default setting for all newly created forms within our Smartsheet plan.
Today, this setting defaults to disabled, and individual sheet owners can choose to enable it. From a security and governance perspective, we would prefer the opposite behavior:
- Administrators can set "Require Smartsheet login to access this form" to be enabled by default across the organization.
- Form creators and sheet owners would still retain the ability to disable the setting when a business use case requires anonymous access.
- This would help organizations establish a more secure default posture while maintaining flexibility for exceptional cases.
As organizations continue to strengthen security controls and reduce accidental exposure of forms, having an admin-controlled default for form authentication would improve governance, reduce risk, and eliminate the need to manually review individual forms to ensure authentication is enabled.
