I'm looking for a function or feature to update two columns as 'last modified' and 'last updated user-id' based on any cells in the corresponding row is modified.
Hi Suresh - check out our System columns which can show the user who created or last modified a row and a timestamp of when the row was created or last modified.

A nice thing about this feature is that even if you haven't added them before, they know when the sheet was created or modified. Once you add the columns (which I have on many of my sheets) they will display the current information.
